Did you get my e-mail(attached) Howard?
.........................................................
Your night-clock arrived in good condition & I'm very happy with it. I don't
think it is a night clock however, but a FRENCH decorative'verre
eglomise' wall clock circa 1800-1830. How unusual for it to be in such
good condition. The spike inside is not, in my opinion, for a candle but
rather to hold the key.The burn marks explain nothing except that a
naked flame was near the dial at some time. It is a very rare & unusual
piece & I am sure my client will grab it. I will try to ring you at 4pm
Friday (your time) re above and the other clocks.
Regards, Tony

Hi Howard,
Several months ago, I purchased three clocks from you: A
Seth Thomas Sonora Chime, Ansonia "Florentine #1," and New Haven
"Abbey." I just thought I'd touch base with you and let you know
how happy I am with the clocks.
The Sonora Chime clock cleaned up wonderfully ...............
Florentine ........................., it has beed restored to its
former glory.
I had Abbey's movement refurbished and it's now the main time-
keeper in my den (where I keep most of my clocks). I love its
soft Westminster chime.
Anyway, I check your web site often and am always interested to
see what you have to offer. ..................
It was nice doing business with you -- I'm sure we'll do some
more!
Best regards,
Dave

I am thrilled with the cuckoo clock I bought through your internet yard sale.
I was wary conducting business in this manner but was pleasantly surprised!
The clock was just as you described and arrived in excellent condition. I
was impressed with the expert packing, and can understand the cost of
handling. The clock is unique, and a favored addition in my collection.
I visit your sites frequently to watch for additons!
Unsigned ( who are you ?)
Howard,
The clock is great.
Thanks,
Tom

Howard
I received the clock yesterday. I am very pleased! Unfortunately (clock wise) I got some large orders so won't be able to even look at it for six or seven weeks but I'll let you know if I fix it.
Thanks again.
Evan
PS if you find any tall clocks in "as is" condition I am interested, email me.

Dear Howard,
Please disregard the previous mail I sent. I overlooked exactly what I
needed to know on the "care of old clocks" sheet. I followed the
instructions and everything seems to be fine now. It really is a
gorgeous clock and it looks great on my mantel. I love it! Sorry for
jumping the gun. I hope to be able to order from you again in the
future. Thanks again.
Regards,
Martha
Dear Howard
I am so happy with the clock I bought from you that I would
like another one! It is:
Ansonia Crystal Regulator "Rouen"
Stock Number:134-615
$525.00
This is dated 1920 - does that mean I would have to pay VAT as it is
not 100 years old, or does the fact that it is 'second hand' determine
the VAT?
Before I go ahead, could you let me know the total cost?
Thanks
Tim
Hi Howard
Clock is working beautifully and has a mellow bong.
I spoke to the Customs people here who agreed that VAT
should not have been charged and that it was charged on
$600.
I need to give them a document that gives the date of the
clock and the actual cost (ie $495). Could I trouble you to
send me a paper receipt showing this info? I think it will
have to be 'official' so an email won't do.
Greatly obliged.

Hi,
This is R. T. again. I purchased a Chelsea 24 hour Navy Clock
from you a couple of months ago. We just gave it to my dad this past
weekend. He loved it.
The reason for this letter is to ask a little more information about the
French Woodcase Clock. Stock #134-762.
I am not familiar with lever escapement mechan. How is it different
from key wound movements? Also could you please tell me the approx.
size of the clock? Thank you.

I just like to let you know the Chelsea Clock (134-804) arrived
yesterday. It is running strong. I am somewhat concerned that
it gained nearly 3 minutes overnight.... did you check by chance
check it for accuracy? It appears that there is a fair amount of
adjustment available so I expect it is correctable.
Again, thank you (and Janice) for your prompt service!.

Dear Janice
I received the clock on Monday 8/8/96. I arrived in one piece, it's beautiful, and
I am very pleased. You mentioned in your letter that you received several other Waterbury clocks. I already have Calender No.34, but would be very interested to
see the others.
Please let me know when you put them up on the internet. Thanks again and I look
forward to hearing from you in the future.
Yours truly,
