 clock Style: A Centaur abducting a young maiden..Great subject. !
Comment: This is a "Must Have" clock for someone.
Stock Number: 2319
Case: Cast bronze. 20 1/2" tall 16" wide, 8" depth.
Works: 8 day time and strike on bell. .
Sold: Value 2007 $ 2,250.00
Year: The unmarked French style movement appears to be from about 100 years ago. The age of the case is not known. It may be an old bronze statue with a newer bronze base. I don't know
Reference: Greek Mythology.
Condition: Case - The bronze statue is very nice. The base is of lessor quality, but it looks great. Works, excellent and cleaned.

Works:French 8 day time and bell strike movement by Samuel Marti.

Case: Marble and Bronze. Reclining lady with a Sickle in one hand and a Sheaf of Wheat in the other. Height 12 1/2".

Comment:Similar clock in Miller's Clocks & Barometers Buyer's Guide page 188 with value of $15,000. At 21" tall this gilt bronze clock is very impressive.

Case: Bronze with gilt finish. 21" tall by 17.5" wide and 4.5" deep at the base.
Works: Marked "S Marti et Cie Medaille deBronze" which was awarded in 1860. 8 day French high quality movement with strike on bell. Works may have originally been silk thread suspension evidenced by the additional weight on the pendulum.

Comment: Outstanding decorated Porcelain China dial and urns. Rich blue color.
The "Mass Bay Antiques" April 1998 issue reports that a similar clock, which I inspected at the preview, sold at auction in Amesbury, MA by auctioneer John McInnis for $ 4,950. In my opinion this one is better.

Case: Gilt casting and dial panel with two ladies reading a letter and a cameo of a lady on the urn at the top. Matching covered procelain urns. All three pieces on original gilt wood bases with velvet covers. height 18.5"

Case: Good detail casting. 15.5" tall. I believe the proper term is "raw bronze", which has the look of brass.
Works: French works with locking plate striking movement on bell. Marked with the trade mark of "A.D.Mougin", a maker of clocks works for many french clock companies.

Comment: This is an exceptional clock set. Female being guarded. Look at the pictures.

Case: Cast bronze and spelter. Each ostrich body contains a planter with the original tub. Clock dimentions h=26", w=17"
Works: Great French works marked Vincenti Cie - Medaille D'Argent 1855. Vincenti was one of the most productive of clock works makers in the world in the mid 19th century.
